Integrating Regional Associations with the National System

Workshop was held June 11-13, 2003
Portland, Maine

Goals:

  1. Introduce DMAC, the Ocean.US Data Management and Communications plan (www.dmac.ocean.us) to regional associations and federal partners, to better understand its implications for these organizations.
  2. Identify "stumbling blocks" and identify solutions for achieving the vision for DMAC.
    Identify next steps/actions to be taken by regional associations, agencies, Ocean.US, DMAC, and others.
  3. Identify linkages between IOOS and the US Commission on Ocean Policy.
